Activities and Events
- Our 2025 Ladies Day was held April 26 with Speaker Becky Blackmon from Hewitt, Texas. She did an excellent job speaking on Esther and The Providence of God. We had a very inspirational day of singing, praying and feasting on God's Word and a wonderful time of Fellowship with Sisters from Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. The program ended with Lunch (Potatoe Bar) served in the Fellowship Hall. We are looking forward to our next Ladies Day April 25, 2026
- Vacation Bible School has been held yearly since 2001 (Until Covid hit and has had to be postponed until 2022) . Our VBS is an evangelistic outreach. This Years VBS was held July 14-17, 2025 with a theme of "Finding God". Mt. Vernon Church of Christ Youth group and leaders from Mt. Vernon, Missouri assisted us with another Very Successful VBS. Many children from the area came and learned about God's Love for all. Our VBS is a very evangelistic tool that we have here at Lakeshore. We have baptized one mother and her son, and we have taught countless souls about Christ and planted seeds and touched many hearts for Christ, and we are confident that God gives the increase. We had about 40 children from the community plus all our members and the visiting church and had a very successful Vacation Bible School!
- Our youth and adults serve Beechwood Hills Christian Youth Camp as campers, counselors in training, counselors and volunteers in many other ways. Each year we collect paper products for use during the camp weeks. We delivered a large supply of Napkins, Paper Towels and Toilet paper.
- We have a Pantry for those in need; members bring in items on a weekly basis to keep our pantry supplied. We also have a freezer pantry which we receive donations from a local food company.
- We have a "Blessing Box" for the community to "help themselves". We keep the box supplied with non perishable items Breakfast foods, peanut butter and Jelly, Pasta dinners, Juice, water and school supplies etc. The Blessing Box is well received by our community.
- Renucci Hospitality House connected with Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is a place where Lakeshore Church of Christ Members prepare and serve dinner for guests staying at the Hospital with their loved ones. We prepare and serve a home-cooked meal to all who would like to come.
